Do I need a permit to build a deck?

In most situations, YES. If you are not adding to the overall size or changing the structure and just changing the deck surface and railings, then NO. Please ask us this question when we come out for a free consultation.

How much will it cost to build a deck?

There is no ONE PRICE FITS ALL situation. There are many factors we must consider before giving anyone an accurate estimate. Some of the things we look at are, but not limited to the following:

  1. We must listen to the customer to have a better understanding of what the customer wants,
  2. The type of material the customer wants,
  3. Size of project,
  4. How difficult is this project going to be? Is the ground level?

Who will be building my project?

Many contractors use sub-contractors to do there work for them. But, like Creative Construction Solutions, LLC we are a family owned and operated company and can keep most of our work in house. At times, we also must use sub-contractors when we are booked out so far that it is better to have a sub-contractor do the work. We also VET our sub-contractors for reliability, insurance, and quality of work.

Are you licensed?

Yes, Creative Construction Solutions, LLC is full licensed in the state of Virginia and numerous counties within the state.

Are you insured?

Creative Construction Solutions, LLC is fully insured with Workers Compensation and General Liability. And if we need to call on one of our sub-contractors, they also carry Workers Compensation and General Liability.

How long will it take to build my project?

It is generally a good practice to know the permit process in each location that we work in plus the type of project and the type of materials being used. These all have a degree of weight on the length of time any given project will take. Always ask to have the start date and approximate completion date in writing.

If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to give us a call at 804-305-5328 and we will be glad to come talk to you about your project.
